Lewis W. Diuguid Receives Lyons Award

In recognition of his commitment to excellence in journalism as well as his work as a newsroom leader and role model for young journalists, Nieman Fellows in the class of 2017 at Harvard University selected Lewis W. Diuguid for the 2017 Louis M. Lyons Award for Conscience and Integrity in Journalism. Read more

Kathleen Carroll, executive editor and senior vice president of The Associated Press, presented the 35th Joe Alex Morris Jr. Memorial Lecture on Dec. 1, 2016. Carroll is the top news executive of the world’s largest independent news agency, a role she has held since 2002. Read more

The Nieman Foundation for Journalism at Harvard was honored to host the capstone marquee event for The Pulitzer Prizes’ year-long Centennial Celebration in 2016. Presentation of the 2015 Worth Bingham Prize and Taylor Family Award

The Nieman Foundation presented the 49th annual Worth Bingham Prize for Investigative Journalism and the 14th annual Taylor Family Award for Fairness in Journalism on May 4, 2016. The Tampa Bay Times has won Bingham Prize for its series “Failure Factories” while The Associated Press took home the Taylor Award with its trailblazing series “Seafood From Slaves.” Read more
