Watson Sims, a 1953 Nieman Fellow, was a World War II veteran and a foreign correspondent for The Associated Press for 25 years. He was later editor of newspapers in Battle Creek, Michigan and New Brunswick, New Jersey and directed media studies for The George H. Gallup International Institute in Princeton, New Jersey.
