Shannon Osaka recently completed an MPhil in Geography at the University of Oxford, where she studied climate change perception and communication. One main research focus has been on the portrayal of extreme weather events in the mainstream media. Her journalism has appeared in Grist, the Los Angeles Review of Books, Wired, and Mother<i> </i>Jones.
