Rebecca MacKinnon, cofounder of Global Voices, was a fellow at the Harvard Law School’s Berkman Center for Internet and Society from 2004 to 2006 and a spring 2004 fellow at the Joan Shorenstein Center for the Press, Politics & Public Policy. She was bureau chief for CNN in Tokyo and Beijing and an assistant professor at the University of Hong Kong’s Journalism & Media Studies Centre.
