Ranier Fsadni is a columnist for The Times of Malta and a lecturer in anthropology at the University of Malta. He has served as chairman of the Academy for the Development of a Democratic Environment, a Euro-Mediterranean think tank; adviser on Mediterranean and maritime affairs to the prime minister of Malta; adviser to the Maltese Minister of
Foreign Affairs on the Arab League, and director of operations of the European Commission-League of Arab States Liaison Office.
