Lorie Conway, a 1994 Nieman Fellow, is an independent filmmaker and producer. Her film “Beatrice Mtetwa and the Rule of Law” profiles the courageous Zimbabwean human rights lawyer, Beatrice Mtetwa. She also produced “Fear & Fever on Ellis Island,” the first film and book about the Ellis Island immigrant hospital, broadcast on PBS.
