Garry Pierre-Pierre is the founder of The Haitian Times. He was formerly a reporter at The New York Times, where he was part of a team that won a Pulitzer Prize for coverage of the 1993 bombing of The World Trade Center. He is also the co-founder and founding executive director of the Center for Community Media at the City University of New York.
