Dean Miller, a 2008 Nieman Fellow, is the former Director of the Center for News Literacy at Stony Brook University, where he taught the course to 2,400 of the 10,000 undergraduates who took it during his time there. He now lives and writes in Connecticut and is seeking partners to build news literacy courses in Washington and Oregon.
