David Barboza, a 2016 Knight Nieman Visiting Fellow, is the co-founder and staff writer at The Wire, a journalism and data startup covering China. Previously, Barboza served as a business reporter and foreign correspondent for The New York Times, and, as the paper's Shanghai bureau chief, received the 2013 Pulitzer Prize for International Reporting for his investigation into corruption in China
