Cathy Grimes was a newspaper reporter and editor for many years, most recently at the Daily Press Media Group in Newport News, Virginia. As a 2006 Nieman Fellow, she studied education policy, ethics and governance. She is now communications manager of the graduate school at Virginia Tech.
