Beata Biel is a journalist and TV producer based in Krakow, Poland. In 2008 she received a Grand Press Award for the best TV documentary of the year; she was nominated again the following year. She was a 2011 <a href="http://csis.org/program/visiting-european-journalist-fellows">Transatlantic Media Fellow</a> at the <a href="http://csis.org/">Center for Strategic and International Studies</a> in Washington, D.C.

In Poland, Pressures Plague Investigative Reporting
